Windows 10 Update Blocked for Some Avg Antivirus Users

AVG is a trusted name in the world of antivirus products. Hundreds of thousands of men and women install one or the other version of AVG antivirus in their computers to remain absolutely safe and secure from all kinds of online threats. Another interesting fact about these users is that a vast majority of them happen to be users of Windows 10 devices. A large number of these users were recently shocked to see that their attempts to update their operating systems were blocked by the company. Many of these users got no clarification when they tried to contact AVG customer care.

It was in the beginning of November that Microsoft announced a new update for its latest operating system Windows 10. This update, called version 1909, or simply Windows 10 November 2019 Update, attempted to introduce some important new features to the operating system installed in computers of thousands of individuals and businesses around the country.

Unfortunately, many AVG antivirus users have been prohibited from updating their Windows 10 operating system. These owners, when they tried to update their Windows 10, saw an error message that stopped them from this important update. It was only after several weeks that a clarification n this regard was issued by Microsoft. The company said that only those individuals or businesses were affected that were using old versions of AVG antivirus. Users of latest and even a few year old antivirus products experienced no problems in updating their Windows 10 operating system. The same is the case with customers using old version of Avast antivirus in their system. Here it is interesting to note that both AVG and Avast products are made by the same company and being sold under different brand names.

Microsoft, even though the problem is not because of its product or update, realized the difficulties experienced by its users. Within a month, the company has come out with a solution to this problem. In a support document published on its website, the company has provided a workaround to this problem of update to customers who are using old versions of AVG antivirus in their computers.

According to an investigation conducted by Microsoft, customers using version 19.5.4444.567 or older of AVG antivirus are facing compatibility issues with the latest update of Windows 10. This fact is also corroborated by AVG customer support. Microsoft has also advised customers not try to sidestep this blockage as it can be dangerous for the safety of their computers.

There are two options for users of old versions of AVG antivirus if they wish to update their operating systems. They can either wait till the time when Windows update counters this compatibility issue or go through the steps recommended by Microsoft to avoid this problem when updating their Windows to. If you follow the steps suggested by Microsoft and apply them in the settings of your AVG antivirus, you should not have any difficulty in updating your Windows 10 operating system. If you experience AVG update error after updating your Windows 10, you can always contact the company by dialing AVG antivirus customer support phone number.

Subsidized Hp Printers Only With Locked in Hp Print Supplies

HP is one of the major players in the world of printers and print supplies. High quality printers are sold by the company at low prices. This  HP printer support  to the customers comes with the expectation that they will use print supplies made by the company. In fact, the bulk of the revenues for HP are generated through the sale of print supplies. Now the company has hinted a shift towards managed print business model that will make sure customers get printers at subsidized rates only if they fulfill their print supplies through the company. This business plan was disclosed by the executives of HP last week. According to this plan, HP printers at low prices will only be made available only if the customer agrees to purchase print supplies through HP partners. Customers not agreeing to this plan and using supplies form third party vendors will have to pay more for the same printers. This move by HP is being seen as a response to a decrease in its print supplies business. By signing

Microsoft Concedes Blue Screen of Death Windows 10

Blue screen of death, simply called BSOD, is a problem faced by a large number of Windows computer users. This shutdown of the computer accompanied by a blue screen with an error message was very common with the older Windows 7 operating system. Microsoft promised no BSOD problem for the customers when launching Windows 10 a few years down the line.  Blue screen Windows 7  indeed became much less frequent with Windows 10. Last month, Microsoft introduced a new update to Windows 10 operating system. Barely two weeks after the introduction of this version called 20H2 the company issued a warning to the users. In fact, there were not one but two warnings from Microsoft recommending users to revert to the older version of Windows 10 if they continued to experience   BSOD error   or asked to reboot after signing in. This move by the company seems to be a result of a flurry of complaints lodged by the customers about the infamous  Windows blue screen of death   error message. These custome
